Orange Pekoe 1

Tea grade OP 1 is one of the finest quality of Orange Pekoe. In traditional tea hierarchy, place this grade on the top of the OP grades in the tea manufacturing industry. Generally, a tippy wiry longleaf in radish black color distinguished the quality of OP grades. It takes a little longer in the boiled water to get infused than OP and OPA. Once infused for the best condition the colour of the tea appears golden radish in a white porcelain teacup.

Mainly manufactured in the tea factories in South, Southwest to East, Sabaragamuwa, Mid highland, areas of Sri Lanka. Elevations are various from lower to mid higher levels in altitude.
